Privacy Policy
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy applies to the LoadDock application for macOS (referred to as "the App", "we", "us", or "our"), available on the Mac App Store and via our official website (loaddock.app).
We believe that personal computing utilities should respect user privacy unconditionally. LoadDock is engineered from the ground up to operate entirely on your local machine without any remote network telemetry.
2. Information We Do NOT Collect
We collect zero bytes of personal data. Specifically:
- No Personal Identification: We do not ask for or collect your name, email address, physical address, phone number, or Apple Account credentials.
- No Keystroke Logging: We do not intercept, record, log, or monitor keystrokes or text typed into any application.
- No App Activity Tracking: We do not track which apps you open, when you open them, or how long you use them.
- No Device Information: We do not log IP addresses, MAC addresses, hardware UUIDs, or device serial numbers.
- No Telemetry or Crash Reports: The App contains no third-party analytics or crash reporting SDKs (such as Google Analytics, Firebase, Mixpanel, Sentry, or Segment).
3. Local Data Storage & Permissions
LoadDock requires minimal local storage and standard macOS permissions to deliver its intended hotbar functionality:
- Local Configuration File: Your custom Loadout configurations (slot key assignments, selected application bundle paths, and display labels) are saved exclusively as a local JSON file in
~/Library/Application Support/LoadDock/loadouts.jsonon your Mac. This file never leaves your computer. - macOS Accessibility API (Accessibility): LoadDock requests Accessibility authorization (
AXIsProcessTrusted) solely to listen for global hotkey triggers (e.g., ⌥1–5, ⌥QWERT, ⌥A). This system capability is used exclusively to launch or switch to your assigned applications and show the Peek HUD. It is never used for keystroke recording or screen inspection.
4. In-App Purchases (StoreKit 2)
LoadDock offers an optional one-time In-App Purchase ("LoadDock Pro") to unlock additional loadouts and hotbar slots.
- All transactions and payment processing are handled directly and securely by Apple Inc. through the Mac App Store and StoreKit 2 APIs.
- LoadDock does not process, receive, or store credit card numbers, payment credentials, billing addresses, or bank details.
- All purchase verifications occur cryptographically between your Mac and Apple servers under Apple's Privacy Policy.
5. Third-Party Services & Sharing
LoadDock contains no third-party tracking libraries, advertising networks, or data brokers. We do not sell, rent, license, or share user data with any third parties under any circumstances.
6. Data Retention & Deletion
Because all data is stored locally on your device:
- You can delete your configuration files at any time by removing the
~/Library/Application Support/LoadDockdirectory. - Deleting the LoadDock application bundle from your Applications folder will leave no residual network footprint or remote user accounts.
7. Children's Privacy
LoadDock is a general-purpose productivity utility that does not collect any personal data from users of any age, fully complying with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
8. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any revisions will be published on this page with an updated "Effective Date". Because we do not collect email addresses, we encourage users to check this URL periodically.
